With over 20 years of experience, Aernoud has built a reputation as a trustworthy and effective negotiator in complex conflicts. He is a talented strategist, an effective communicator and negotiator, and a tenacious advocate of his clients’ interests.
Aernoud studied law at the University of Amsterdam and Université Panthéon-Sorbonne in Paris. He completed both the Mediation Federation of the Netherlands’ basic training in Mediation & Negotiation and the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.
Before establishing Walden Grene, Aernoud worked for Allen&Overy, Höcker Advocaten and Florent, among others.
Aernoud is an author of books on law and negotiations. His book on negotiation, Think Like a Lawyer, Don’t Act Like One is an international bestseller. With his colleague Matthijs Brons he wrote contract & commentaar, which het Advocatenblad calls The Beige Bible. Aernoud is an ardent fan and passionate collector of contemporary art.
Aernoud has registered intellectual property law as his main area of expertise in the register of Legal Expertise of the Dutch Bar Association. On the basis of this registration, he is obliged to obtain ten educational credits in this field of law every calendar year in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.

Berber is a seasoned and highly regarded IP, media, ICT and privacy lawyer. She is specialised in all aspects of intellectual property law (copyrights, trademarks, designs, etc.), GDPR, ICT-contracts and advertising law, with a focus on new technologies and the creative industries.
Berber is also highly experienced in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts (e.g. licensing and distribution contracts). She regularly publishes on current issues on the interplay between new technology and the protection of privacy, and also lectures on these topics. Berber loves a good story and is therefore a board member of Echt Gebeurd, a monthly storytelling afternoon and a weekly podcast presented by the well-known comedians Micha Wertheim and Paulien Cornelisse, in which people tell beautiful, special or funny stories that really happened.
